Jayla Castro '21 Recruiting Profile

As the youngest daughter of two military parents I can be counted on to be a leader on and off the field. I take pride in being a good person with a caring nature and good sense of humor. My favorite thing to do besides Softball is to read and to spend time with my family.  I hope to someday be able to play softball in college.  I truly enjoy the sport and how it continues to shape me as a person.  If I can offer up just one of my best attributes I'd say that it is definitely my attitude.  Although I a very good hitter and even better defensive player, I am easily the most motivated and supportive members on any team I've ever played on.  I have to admit that I owe it to my parents who as veterans have instilled in me the importance of being a part of a team.
