I've been playing softball for as long as I can remember, and quite frankly, I can't imagine my life without it. Along with playing for the majority of my life came my competing attitude and undying work ethic. As well as character traits, I developed a multitude of skills. My softball IQ increases day by day, and I am relentlessly looking for ways to better myself athletically, academically, and overall as a person. I hold myself accountable for my failures and successes and will always show up to give everything I have. I am an incredibly vocal leader, and at that, one who thrives off of positive energy. As for being a part of a team, I always found it hard to feel as though I was a part of something. Nevertheless, once I found softball, I found a second family and a sense of belonging, finally being a part of something larger than myself. Softball not only gave me a variety of athletic skills but those I could use for life. Such as time management, commitment, and the importance of a support system, not only for myself but for others.
