Sophia Crowe '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Sophie and I am going into my junior year at Canterbury high school in New Milford CT. I've never been the kind of person to think super far into the future, until I realized I wanted to play college softball. I started playing tee ball around age 5 and ever since then I have played softball. I took a short break in middle school to focus on my other sports, field hockey and ice hockey, and I planned on going back to softball freshman year of high school. Due to COVID-19 I couldn't play freshman year, so Sophomore year I got on the field for the first time in a while and became a starter for the varsity team at my prep school. I was a Catcher and second baseman when I was younger, but this year I took a wild turn, and now I am a unstoppable lefty first baseman. Nothing has ever made me happier than standing on the field and making a good play. I am also a very strong batter, I work to make it better every day but I have a hard swing with lots of potential. I am very outgoing and optimistic, which I think would make me a great addition to any team. I cant wait to find my school!
