Hello to all whom this may concern,
My name is Carissa Church; I am a sophomore at Stonington Hight School which is located in Stonington, CT. I plan to be a physician assistant in order to stay in a field that involves a lot of anatomy and information about the human body. The purpose of this statement is to express my desire and passion to pursue softball at the next level. I have been playing softball for almost over ten years and it has already offered me so many amazing opportunities and has connected me with fantastic coaches and players who I look up to as role models. My ultimate goal is to play softball at the college level as well as possibly going to a professional level if I am offered. I am willing to put forth whatever it takes to become the best softball player I am capable of being and becoming. I understand that academics are one of the most essential elements of college. However, being part of a team and creating lifelong bonds, teamwork, and character play a major role in the college experience as well. Throughout my high school career, I have always tested myself with difficult classes. For example, both my freshman year and this year I have taken all of the honor classes that are offered at my high school and I have a chance of taking my french bilingual test at the end of this year instead of waiting until I am a junior or possibly a senior. I believe that the only way to get better at something is by working hard even when things might get a little difficult. This is why softball appeals to me so much because it isn’t always an easy game. It’s a game of precision, timing, focus, determination, and teamwork.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and statement.
