My name is Elizabeth Coury, but I also go by “Lilybeth” or “LB” When starting softball in 1st grade, I quickly fell in love with the sport of softball. I play on the elite club team the 16u Empire State Huskies Cefaloni. Since freshman year, I have started on Varsity. I am a USSSA All American, Softball Factory All American, and Softball Youth Elite All American MVP. This summer I won nationals with my former team, 14u Empire State Huskies National. I am a very competitive person and hard worker. Constantly, I try to beat my personal best. My character on and off the field is outgoing, serious, determined, ambitious, innovative and disciplined. I do not hesitate to step up for leadership opportunities and enjoy the personal growth those situations provide. Additionally, I am challenge-motivated and maintain high expectations for myself academically and physically. When practicing softball, I try to perfect the basics, as well as, learn new techniques to become a highly skilled player. I believe there is no off season, as it is rare a day passes that I do not pick up my bat. I appreciate learning from coaches with a variety of coaching styles. I feel this aids in my ability to be a coachable player and increases my value as a teammate. I aspire to play softball in college at a competitive level. Ultimately, I desire to be a contributor to the overall success of my team.
