Going on a state championship run with my high school team last year was one of the most humbling experiences of my softball career. Seeing how we came together over the year and especially during the tournament showed me when you all have a common goal and work together great things will happen!! Being it was the first softball state championship the school history made winning all that much better!! I have learned my personal values through learning and making mistakes and being taught what it means to be a good person from my family and playing the game of softball. My family has always revolved around sports, we are avid Boston sports fans and I grew up in a household that always references sports in everyday life. Through the game of softball, I have learned so many things that not only benefit me in a game sense but also in life. I have learned to always be early to practice and get there before you’re supposed to so that you’re always ready to start. I have learned how to be more aware of my surroundings and know what is going on, and how to be a good teammate. I feel that learning to be a good teammate will help you deal with people in the real world and help you to establish friendships and bonds with the people around you. My academic goals for high school is to get straight A’s, but that’s not always the easiest, geometry can be a real challenge sometimes!! For college, my goals are the same to succeed and do well in whatever I do. I believe that I have what it takes to be a leader on the team. I feel I have the ability to bring everyone together and create a positive atmosphere where we can all succeed. I am conscientious and will always do my best to finish whatever it is I am doing. As someone who strives to always do the best, I believe I have the skills and qualities of a good leader for a team.
