I have been dreaming of playing in a competitive college softball program since I started playing t-ball as a 5 year old. When I first picked up a softball bat, I fell in love with the sport and knew that it was going to be an integral part of my life for years to come. As a tri-varsity athlete who also plays volleyball and basketball, I value the skill of being a well rounded player who will put all of my effort into the athletic and academic aspects of being a college athlete. I am currently a junior in the 2015-2016 school year at the academically challenging Taft School in Watertown, CT, and I maintain a 90.2 GPA. On the softball field, I am a versatile and dedicated player who has been both the starting shortstop and catcher in my freshman, sophomore, and junior years. In the past few seasons, our team has proven to be one of the top Class A prep school softball teams in the Northeast while working our way up to compete in the championships. I am also a catcher and utility player on my highly successful travel team, the Xtreme Chaos 18U Gold. I take pride in my commitment to excellence, and I do my best to motivate myself and my teammates by any means possible. Over my first years of high school, I have learned that setting achievable goals throughout the season is the best way to gain success. In addition to playing college softball, I would like to pursue a degree in the bio medical sciences or physical therapy, as I have been interested in those fields since I started elementary school. My ideal college would consist of a caring and supportive faculty and student body, and an interesting and engaging school community that provides opportunity to every student regardless of the size or location. Growing up in a small town in suburban Connecticut has made me comfortable with both rural and urban settings, and geographic location will not play a role in my college decision. Thank you for taking the time to view my profile.
