My name is Mackenzie Brown and I am a student athlete from North East, Maryland. It is my desire to attend college and play softball at a higher level, while obtaining a degree in athletic training. I attend Caravel Academy in Bear, Delaware and will graduate in 2019.
I have been playing softball since I was 5 years old. I have always had a competitive desire to be the best one on the field. I started playing travel softball five years ago, and I currently play middle infield for the Delaware Magic, an 18u team. On this team, I have been able to become a leader both on the field and off. My team is my family, but on the field, I am the leader that inspires everyone to play to their best ability. I have been able to develop my leadership skills in school as well as a member on the Student Council and National Junior Honor Society.
I also played varsity field hockey for my school as a freshman. As a sophomore, I am now captain of the Varsity field hockey team. Outside of school and softball, my family and church are the most important aspects of my life. I am active with my church youth group and FCA for school.
Through softball, I will be able to work hard to reach my goals and have a successful career, while playing the sport I love. My desire is to find a college that I can succeed both in softball and academics.
