Jillian Smith '24 Recruiting Profile

I plan to attend college either on academics or athletics. I have been playing softball since I was 11 years old and I have fallen in love with the sport of softball. I play right field, pitcher, and sometimes second base. I am very coachable I take any critique whether it be for my hitting, fielding, or pitching. One of the things that set me apart from other recruits is that I am very competitive and love to win but I also want to get better each and every game. I am very aggressive when it comes to base running and hitting. I try to lead my team by announcing the plays and how many outs there are.  One of the things I love about softball is that I cheer on my teammates if they get a really good hit or make a good play. I try to be very positive even if we're losing. I am very goal-oriented when it comes to softball, weightlifting, and my academics.
