Personal Statement

My name is Talia Douglas and I play for the Wagners Gold 18U (Dunn).   I have strong hitting and fielding skills and the positions I play are SS/2B/3B.  My dream is to play softball in college at the most competitive level.  I am always striving to be the best I can be both on and off the field.  I was selected to play on the Softball Factory National Team and participated in the Softball Factory World Series (Vero Beach, FL) in 2013 and the Under Armor Pre-Season High School All-American (Clermont, FL) in 2014.   I earned my varsity softball letter in 6th grade and I have been a high school varsity softball starter every year.  I was selected as a team captain in 9th, 10th and 11th grade.  I have received various athletic awards such as the varsity softball MVP (4 times), FACA All State Softball Team, FACA District 9 Softball Player of the Year, All Space Coast 2nd Team & Honorable Mention, National and Presidential Physical Fitness Award.  I am a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society and the Tri-M National Music Honor Society (advanced orchestra/violin).
