I have been a student of softball since I was nine years old. All of my yesterday's on the ballfield, make me who I am today on the ballfield. A few months ago in 2017, I was honored to be recognized on FloSoftball HOT list, earned a spot in the Top 30 at USA Elite Select 30 Combine, and was named “Female Athlete of the Year” at my school, where I have earned a 4.7 GPA in academics. Winning and coming in Runner-Up in 8 FL State Championships, including being a current USA/ASA Florida Gold State Champion has shaped me! Playing in high level tournaments and showcases like USA-ASA Nationals, USA Elite Select All-American, PGF, D9, Faster2First, and the Colorado Sparkler have kept me competing in softball at the highest level. I am grateful for my family, thanks to them for supporting me and taking me to all of those elite softball events! I have been blessed by having quality coaches and elite softball teammates to learn from and play ball with at the Gold level since I was ten years old. I believe that my coaches over the years would describe me as honest, dependable, and coachable. One of my coaches has described my batting abilities as "disciplined, having a good eye, and a contact hitter." Another one of my coaches has described my hitting as "an excellent line drive hitter with gap power and not phased by the big moment". I have been a versatile defender for all teams I have ever played for. Most recently I spend most time on defense at 1st base, second base, and pitching. I believe that my teammates would describe me as a thoughtful, caring, kind, inclusive, hard working, and a dependable teammate. A college program would benefit from my positive attitude, great character, and hard work ethic. My reliable batting, not striking out at bat in seven Florida State Championships, would help a college team to produce runs for the team. I bat in the heart of the line up, because we can't win games without producing runs. I am a mover! It has been a goal of mine since I was young to be a college student athlete, so I am practicing hard at softball and also keeping a high GPA at school. I want to play ball for a college coach that wants me. I want to have a college softball family that wants to have me there as much as I want them! A college program can help me because I am a work in progress and willing to learn. Wanting to learn from the best, I am always seeking out new learning opportunities in order to grow and get better at softball. My first year of high school, 53 girls went to try out for the Matanzas HS 2018 spring softball program. I am proud that I made the top tier and play for the MHS varsity softball team as a freshman, earning some of the top stats in my district in batting and fielding on Max Preps. It is important to me to get good grades in school and leave college one day with a degree, so that I can lead a productive adult life when I am older. Being an editor for the Florida Fastpitch Forum social media sites, it is a passion of mine to help grow the game of softball. Academically, I have a 4.7 GPA. As of July 15, 2019, I am ranked number 28 in my class out of 456 students in my 2021 graduating class at MHS. My first semester as a freshman at Matanzas high school, I took and passed the PERT/Postsecondary Education Readiness Tests. Currently I am taking college credit courses through Daytona State College to work towards my associates degree. Thank you for reading my profile page. I am looking forward to finding my collegiate softball family and contributing to the college softball program that is the best fit for me.
