The first spark of interest in softball came to me when I would go watch my pawpaw (grandfather) play. I was about six years old and I loved to go watch him play. I went to just about all of his games. I was his number one fan. But one day, he couldn't play anymore, so I took it I upon myself and decided to keep the legacy going. We switched places in each others lives and now he wouldn't miss a game or practice of mine for the world.
I love softball because everyone I've played with plus their families are like extended families to me. Softball helps me meet new people and have fun while being productive. I love to compete on many different levels, including, academically, athletically and socially. I currently have a GPA of 4.0 with all honors and advanced classes. I am enrolled in National Junior Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. I would love to continue competing in softball through college and inspire many young athletes to work hard for their dreams. A quote I often think about is, "You must prove to yourself you can do it before you can prove to others." -Unknown. To me this means that I need to have confidence, trust and dependence in myself before other people can. I am confident that I can be a leader on your campus and in your dugout.
