Alyssa Jones '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alyssa Jones. I am a junior at West Laurens High School in Dexter, GA. I am in the recruiting class of 2023.  I am a Right Handed Pitcher that has control of six pitches. My top speed, up to this point, on my fastball and riseball has been clocked at 64 mph. My changeup has been clocked in the low/mid 50’s. On my club team and high school teams, I also play 1^st or 3^rd when not pitching.

I lettered in 2019 as a freshman on my high school team and received Region 4AAAA Honorable Mention recognition. Following the 2020 season, I received Region 4AAAA Honorable Mention recognition again while helping lead my team to a 33-6 record and a 3^rd place finish in the Georgia High School Association 4AAAA State Championships. I am a hardworking, committed student-athlete who is willing to put in the time and the work to get better. I feel as if I am an ideal teammate who pushes my teammates and everyone around me to get better. 

I would love to work towards an athletic trainer degree by beginning with a bachelors in Exercise Science. From getting that degree, it will open up many more doors with many more opportunities. In school, I excel mostly in math, however I really enjoy science as well. 

I look forward to increasing my skills and growing stronger in the game. I hope to share my skills with a solid program I can contribute to in 2023.
