Anyone can play a sport because they like it. I have taken the time to understand the difference between loving and liking the game. Please let me explain.
My travel team isn’t from a well known organization and many have questioned why I play for my current travel team. The answer is very simple; my team loves the game. Our parents aren’t forcing us to play. Only four of the twelve of us want to play collegiate softball. Please don’t stop reading here.
We show up for practice during the off season, work hard on the field, take lessons and come together as a team on the field. We are very competitive, dedicated and come home with hardware. My travel team has become my family. There is no drama on our team or amongst our parents. We all look forward to spending time with each other on and off the field! We all love one another and share the same passion for softball!
This is what I’m looking for at the next level. I want my collegiate team to become my family! I want us to all share the same passion for the game that pushes one another to work hard on and off the field without drama. We can push one another and be competitive, but in a mature way.
Some things that I can promise my collegiate coaches:
1. I will work hard to become a better player and teammate.
2. I will be a leader on and off the field!
2021 Stats being up dates
2020- My high school team made it to the Sweet Sixteen and we had several unique double plays. Six of my teammates made All-Region Team and I was blessed to be named Player of the Year for 7AA. I could not have done this without my coaches and teammates. I was also blessed to hit two homeruns back to back.
2019- Earning a spot in the state tournament was the highlight of my freshman year. Even though we lost during the first round, it made me realize that I need to focus on becoming a better leader and a catcher that is capable of playing at the college level.
I would love the opportunity to speak with you or come to a camp. Thank you for reading my personal statement!
