Abigail Ussery '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Abigail Ussery. I go by Abby. I am a 2021 Outfielder

but I also can play First and Second base. I started playing softball when

I was 8 years old. The thing that attracted me to softball was being

part of a team. The summer of 2017 I was selected to play on the USSSA

Atlantic All American team; we won the 13u Championship. I batted a .620

that week. An experience I will never forget! I love playing ball with my travel

team, GA Girls! I also played with my Middle School team, Mossy Creek

Gators, in which we won the County Championship; undefeated 2 years back

to back. I am now a Junior at Perry High School and play with the Varsity

team. I hit 2 out of the park home-runs my freshman season and 7 last year.

My fondest memory of sophomore year was hitting a walk off grand-slam! 

Our team made it to the Elite 8 for the GHSA State Tournament for the past two 

years and working towards it again this year.

 When I’m not at the ball fields, I love hanging out with my friends riding

 golf carts, swimming, or just laying around. I still enjoy tumbling (before

 softball, I was a competitive gymnast). I also enjoy speed skating at

 the local skating rink.

In school, my favorite subjects are Social Studies and Math.

When I go to college, I hope to major in Public Administration and also

minor in Criminal Science and Law. I find these areas very interesting.

I would like to eventually become an undercover detective or a crime

scene investigator.
