For some people softball is just a sport, something they enjoy but for me, it is so much more. Softball has taught me how to put in the hard work. It has been my therapy during hard times. It has educated me on the importance of teamwork, motivating others as well as myself and striving for excellence. When we don't meet the goal of excellence, we are still great! I have learned over the last 10 years of playing softball, working hard both on and off the field provides maximum results. I not only love the game.
I did not come from an athletic family, or a typical family. My aunt raised me. We both agree that her getting me to start softball at 8 years old was one of the best things she could have done for me. I played rec ball, then travel ball and school ball every season since 2010. I also played basketball, volleyball and even cheered for my high school. Never once did I stray from the dirt field. I can promise that the work I would put in for you, my coach as well as my teammates will match or beat those of most any player you have seen. I love what the game has given me.
