Nicole Young '22 Recruiting Profile

Living my dream of playing softball at the next level will help me further my education to help me achieve my ultimate goal of becoming a physical therapist. Being active and playing sports has always been a huge part of my life and who I am. Playing sports has taught me time management and many other life skills as I maintain good grades and work to help pay for college. 

I am a natural born leader who cheers on her teammates and someone who strives to be the best person they can for their team. I will always stand up for what I believe in even if I have to stand alone. I am a quick learner who can handle criticism well and who can apply it to themselves. I am currently in my 7th year of travel ball and I still strive to become a better player everyday. I mainly play middle infield and catcher but am willing to play anywhere that I am asked to. No matter what the  circumstance is I always give 110%. Having a strong mentality and being able to stay positive is always key to winning tough games.

I believe with my work ethic and dedication academically and athletically, I will succeed and achieve all of my goals. I am a person of my word and I believe that is what a person should ultimately do. I believe hard work and practice will always beat talent. I will work hard on and off the field everyday to better myself for my team. I have always strived to be the person that others look up to and the person that little girls say, “I want to be just like her when I grow up.”
