Ever since I’ve started travel softball, I knew I wanted to play at a college level. One thing that I would say about myself, is that I am very ambitious, and overly determined. I want to be the best version of myself, whether it be on the diamond, or out in the real world. I’ve always worked hard for everything that came my way, and I will not stop now. On the diamond, I am a pitcher, shortstop and outfielder. You can put me anywhere and I will learn to adapt and show one hundred percent effort all of the time. Being a Freshman on varsity will always be an incredible memory in my softball career, even if it had to be cut short. In addition, due to all of my training experience, I’ve learned to become mentally tough. Softball is all about confidence, and is almost all mental. Not only am I mentally strong, I am easily coachable. I’ve seen many coaches over my years as an athlete, and I can take in information, and learn to apply them quickly for the betterment of myself and the team. I will always defend my teammates, as they are like sisters to me. I will always support them, and back them up whenever needed. Outside of softball, I am also a part of my high school band. I play the flute and am in the highest band, sitting in the top chair. I will do whatever it takes to succeed and reach my fullest potential. Therefore I am very competitive, and won’t stop until I am satisfied. Though winning is always great, I’ll always show good sportsmanship on and off the field. Some of my most important values include loyalty, and respect. I will display a positive attitude whenever I can, as I will lead by example. When considering college, I am not set on division, I want to spread my love for the game, and impact the program for the better. Thank you for taking the time to read my statement.
