Hello Coaches,
My name is Kaitlyn Wright and I am a 2022 graduate attending Marist High School. I play for the Tennessee Mojo Blue 04 travel softball team. As a young girl I was always very competitive and loved to play sports. I started playing softball when I was 5 years old and I immediately fell in love with the game. That love has continued to grow throughout my 11 years of travel softball and 2 years of high school softball. Softball offers me the opportunity to escape from any worries or stress I’m enduring in life; and that is a big part of the reason why I love the game so much. It also offers me the opportunity to make friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime. The bonds I’ve made with my teammates are what I value most. My coaches and teammates allow me to grow not only as a player, but also as a person.
At the end of my freshman and sophomore years I’ve earned a cumulative GPA of 5.23/5.0, and have been on the Dean’s List both years. Over the years, I’ve learned to wisely balance my AP and honors classes with my busy softball schedule. I will continue to use my success in the past as a guide to be successful with my academics and softball in the future. I know I am capable of succeeding both in the classroom and on the field as well. I will stay determined to play the sport I love at the next level, while taking the steps to pursue my career. In college I hope to major in Accounting and I also hope, at the college level, to make bonds with my teammates and coaches that will last forever.
