As a softball player, my coaches would say that I'm a utility player. I've played 1st, 2nd, CF, and LF, but my primary position is a back catcher. Although from the start, I was intimidated by the position of being a back catcher, I learned to love the position. After my first catch, my adrenaline made me realize I was made to be a catcher.
During off season from softball, I play for the varsity volleyball team, which I’ve been in since my sophomore year. I was the only sophomore to make the team. As a junior, this year I was appointed captain, which shows that I am a good leader on the court. I love getting involved when it comes to sports. I’ve been on a football team for two years, where I made the all-star team both years I played. Not only do I participate in sports throughout the year, I am also part of the Fine Arts Committee, and play the violin. Outside of school, I work with kids at the Boys and Girls Club in Chicago.
Although sports are a big part of my life, I never let my grades slip. As of right now, my GPA is 3.8 out of 4.0. I always knew I wanted to go to college, so going into college I would like to study in the field of medicine. I would like to go to school to become a nurse. "Although I know Nursing school is rigorous, I am ready for the challenge it presents. I’ve been wanting to become a nurse since I was young but I don't want to stop at basic Nursing . I would like to push myself to become a travel nurse so I can go places that need my help.
