Lana Edkin '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lana Edkin.  I am a 2025 graduate from Moline High School in Illinois.  I have been playing level A travel ball since I was 9 years old and was a member of our local Dad's Club team before that.  I am primarily a catcher, however, when I'm not catching I also play 1st base, 3rd base and corner outfield spots.   I am a hard worker and put in a lot of my own time outside of my weekly practices and hitting/catching lessons.  I just love to play!  As a student I am an A student who does best in science and math classes.  

What I am looking for in a college, is an opportunity to earn playing time and play competitive softball.  I don't expect anything handed to me, I'm here to earn it.  I'm also interested in pursuing a career in physical therapy.  So an opportunity to play college softball while getting a degree in that field is my goal.

I am a good positive teammate and very coachable.  I'm looking forward to the process of earning my way onto a college team!
