Personal Statement

According to Google, the definition of perseverance is the steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. I believe this is where "meanings" and "definitions" are, in someway, deceptive.  Perseverance in its purest form is the following: workers that grind through sweat and blood every day to ensure that their families will live happily, students who apply to schools over and over again until they're accepted rather than giving up, and women who stand up to fear, shake its hand, introduce themselves, and promise to put up the best fight of their lives for what they want.

What makes these people successful?

  • Perseverance
  • Bravery
  • Courage

To the naked eye, this is the key to success. To me, one trait is missing:  passion. These words are what motivate me to stay up until early morning some days and others to wake up before the birds do. What reason, other than loving what you do, would you sacrifice your all for? I know I will dedicate my passion and hard work ethic to any team/college I commit to, and I cannot wait to play alongside girls I've aspired to be since I was little. However, while I am a girl who strives to be the best athlete she physically and mentally can be to help contribute to my team and to our successes, I also value the importance of a great education and making the most of what I learn every day.  I hope I am fortunate enough to find the right school that will help support my journey through college, encourage me to push myself as a student and athlete, and remind me to always be thankful for what I have been given the opportunity to be apart of. Thank you for reading.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
