Claire STIEGMAN '27 Recruiting Profile

Softball has been a passion and driving force in my life for as long as I can remember. My love for the game began with my mom practicing with me in the backyard and then coaching my first ever select team at 8 years old. Over the years my passion has evolved into a relentless commitment to improve and compete at higher levels. As a multi-sport athlete, I pride myself on my work ethic, discipline, and resilience--qualities that have defined my journey as an athlete but especially a softball player. 

I am a unique athlete because of my combination of size, speed, and strength--at 6'0, I am a powerful hitter, who led my high school team and select team in hitting in the spring and fall seasons of 2024. As an overall athlete I made immediate contributions to not only the varsity softball team but also the varsity basketball and volleyball teams as a freshman and continue to do so. My coaches tell me I am very coachable and have been a positive teammate. Although I may be a little shy and reserved off the field, I bring a fierce competitiveness to every game I play.

In addition to my dedication on the field, I am also committed to excelling in the classroom. I believe that being a well-rounded student-athlete requires just as much focus and dedication in my studies as it does on the court or on the field. My goal is to find a program where I grow as an athlete and a scholar, as well as teammates and coaches that share my love for the game and drive for success.
