My name is Katrina Strow and I will be a Senior at Paris High School in Illinois. I have been a Varsity Softball starter for the past three years. I was First Team All-Conference my Freshman Year and Honorable Mention All-Conference my Junior Year. I am a left-handed batter that can adjust to a variety of pitchers and effectively bunt, slap, or line drive.
In addition to school softball, I have played travel softball since 8U. I have played for teams that won State Tournaments and teams that could only string together a few wins all season long. Each team taught me a variety of lessons. I am determined, focused, and passionate about this sport. I have had teammates that inspired me and others that I provided inspiration for. Summers are not even something that I would enjoy without tournaments and teammates.
While playing softball I have also been involved in many extracurricular activities and community events. Learning to balance school work, sports, activities, and a social life is something that I have been able to do. I feel that this will help me as I continue to pursue the chance to play softball in college while obtaining my degree in Physical Therapy.
