Being on the field at 2 am and winning the state championship has been the highlight of my softball career so far. The team we versed won the game before and thought for sure they had us beat. They didn't know our team. There had been countless times we were five, even seven, runs behind and rallied together to come back in the fifth or sixth inning and take the win. I don't let teams get into my head. We played into the night and won that game and I won the all tournament player award.
I've tried many things such as Girl Scouts, figure skating, and band and I like those activities but I have always enjoyed softball the most because of the competition and how fast paced it is. Softball has allowed me to meet amazing new people that push me to succeed not only in softball but in other areas in my life. They expect nothing but the best from me and taught me to expect nothing less from myself. They taught me that a practice is as important as a game, how to be dedicated, how to be a team player and how to never give up.- attitude is half the battle. This is my attitude on and off the field.
My current travel team keeps a grueling schedule we condition or practice five days a week. Though it isn't always easy I keep my grades up and work hard, I know that this is great practice for when I am juggling college classes and being on a college team.
