Hi Coach,
My name is Danika Frazier and I want to be a college student athlete. I live in Central Illinois and will graduate in the class of 2024. I pitch for the Beverly Bandits and enjoy spending time at the diamond and on the mound. I want to be a student athlete because I want to get my education while playing the game I love.
I want to play college softball because I want to compete every day at the highest level. I want to spend my time studying and playing DI ball. I have such a love and passion for the game that I will always give my best effort to reach my goals. I love softball with all my heart, because it gives me a chance to compete and set goals to reach. I think I would be very lost without softball in my life for it guides me and inspires me to do great and put my best foot forward each and every day. That is why I want to play college ball.
I want you to know as a coach the impact I will have on your team. I want you to feel like you are able to come to me with any challenge. I will face it head on as I have with my previous and current teams. For instance, I recently went to the girls PGF Nationals in Huntington Beach, California where our team got 5th in the nation. I had to pitch almost every game throughout the week of the tournament. I was willing to do this because it was what my coaches and teammates needed from me to compete at the highest level as a team. I want to be a team leader and be the one that any teammate can go to for help. I want to be able to set the example that we are better together as a team and it's not about “I” but about “we”.
Finally, I want to go to the right school and play for the school that best fits my skill and abilities. I want to go to a school that is going to provide an atmosphere that I want and need as a student athlete. A coach that is going to push and make me better every day, not only on the field but in the classroom as well as life. I am looking for a coach and school that is going to strive to make me a better person. Also, I want to attend a school that fits my academic needs that is going to help me strive in the classroom to reach my goal of graduation. These are the things that I am looking for and want out of the college student athlete experience.
