I am a two-sport athlete that works year-round on enhancing my softball and volleyball skills, but my heart always pulls me to the softball field. I have started on the WSS (Windsor Stew-Stras) High School varsity team for 3 years and I have been named Honorable Mention for the National Trail Conference as a Sophomore & Junior. This is motivating me to work even harder to make 1st Team All-Conference this next season as a Senior. I have a 4.4 GPA and will be taking my ACT’s this Fall.
I am looking for a school where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the field. I would like to pursue a college with an outstanding academic reputation that will help me reach my goals in the field of Physical Therapy or Athletic Training. My ideal athletic environment would be one where I could make an impact early on. Financial assistance is going to be very important to me in the college selection process, and I would be willing to travel farther to a school with less out of pocket expense.
I am a very motivated student and athlete, and I know a thing or two about perseverance and positive attitude as demonstrated by my grades and by overcoming a setback due to injury. It was during my recovery that I realized how important it was to me to play softball, it was all I could think about. I have pushed myself to get back on my feet after sitting out the beginning of my sophomore year from ACL reconstruction and MCL repair. Even though I am fully recovered now, I have become even more motivated than ever to become the best player I can be, pushing myself through hitting and training. I also want to help everyone I can, especially my teammates and peers. I do this by keeping my teammates heads up during challenging situations and congratulating them on a job well done on the field and off.
