As I get older, I realize that people need to work hard for what they want. I am one of those people who are willing to put in time to get better at what I do, whether it's pitching, hitting, defense, or my academics. The collegiate goals I have are to major in something medical/health related and to become the best player I can be for the team. My ability to keep my composure on the mound when something goes wrong is a strong suit. I believe that staying calm on the mound sends my teammates a feeling of calmness and allows them to move on to the next out. Not only do I like setting an example and being a leader for my teammates physically, but also academically. My academics mean a lot to me. I like to be organized and work to turn in assignments ahead or on time. Going the extra mile in my school work makes me feel great because I know that I turned in my best work, although there is always room for improvement. Through my character, many coaches and teachers see me as trustworthy and responsible. I like having trust with coaches, teammates, and teachers. I trust my teammates when I am pitching and they trust me to pitch well.
