I've been playing softball for eleven years now, I have played all positions, but the one position that has pushed me the most is pitching. I love pitching because of the feeling of being under pressure and having to work through it even if things are not going my way. Pitching has taught me to have resilience to regroup, think about the next pitch, and never lose confidence in myself. Softball has allowed me to have confidence in other areas of my life such as school. This year as a Freshman, I worked hard to get good grades and am continuing to think about what path I want to take in the future. I look forward to the challenge of playing high school and travel softball these next 3 years as well as doing my best in my classes. Through softball I have learned that I enjoy being a leader. I've shown leadership by being positive and encouraging to my teammates when things are not going well for them on or off the field. I know I have many more years to grow as a person and as a player, but I'm lucky that softball is a part of my life.
