I have played softball for about 10 years. Within those 10 years, I have played about 6 seasons of travel softball, I’m about to start my 2nd season of high school softball, and I have played on an All American softball team. So far, from my experiences, I have learned this:
- Strive to be the first one to pick up a teammate when they seem a little down; it makes both you and them feel better
- Move on from a mistake; the more you are stuck on thinking about it, the more likely you are going to do it again
- Be optimistic; it’s not fun being around someone negative
I try to incorporate what I’ve learned into my life both on and off the field.
