Softball became my passion when I was 8 years old. There was a lot going on in my life at that time and softball became my outlet. I have loved the game ever since. Softball has taught me so many valuable lessons that I am able to apply to my everyday life. I have learned how to adapt and go with changes that come. Learning to persevere when things did not go as planned. Putting in the extra work so I can maintain & improve my skill set has taught me that hard work DOES indeed pay off. Softball has taught me these things and so much more. I work hard on the field and in the classroom. My freshman year of high school the varsity coach awarded me the "effort" award, because I am constantly putting in the work to improve and always showing up to give my best effort. During my sophomore year of high school, I was awarded the "accountability" award for the way I hold myself accountable for my actions and put in the work when/where needed. Going into my junior high school season, I have set a goal of remaining positive and seeing the lesson behind any loss. I am hoping to make an impact on the new players joining our team.
My next goal is to play college softball, I love the sport and can't imagine not playing after high school. During my junior year of high school, I have had the opportunity to take college nursing courses which helped me realize that I want to major in nursing. In life, my health and academics have been a struggle at times. I have been blessed with some amazing teachers who have helped me along the way as well as awesome doctors and nurses. For these reasons, I want to help others the way that people helped me.
