I've been spending time at the ballpark since I was an infant as my parents were both active in softball. As I grew, I knew I was going to play. I fell in love with the game and never looked back. I've had so many highlights along the way. I was in the starting lineup for my high school team as a freshmen where we went on to be sectional champions, only losing in regionals by 1. Also as a freshman I made All-Conference. Of course my sophomore year didn't happen, and my junior year ended with the exact same results as my freshman year. I'm expecting big things for my senior year high school season. The environment, the competition, the intensity, and the teamwork are all just a few of the reasons why I love the game! Each game presents a new challenge, and every time I step on the field I'm ready to do my part. Being a part of a team is more than just working to get a win, it's about learning and growing, coming back stronger after a tough defeat, and staying mentally tough after a big win. A team working together for a common goal is so powerful. I never want to stop growing my game, learning as much as I can, and building strong relationships along the way. This game is both mentally and physically challenging, yet so rewarding. Life today is filled with uncertainty like never before. Mental strength, and willingness to adapt to any situation are more important for a player both on and off the field. I’ve experienced so much loss and disappointment in the last few years, as well as people telling me I wasn’t capable of doing things, or that I'm not good enough. Honestly, this has given me a desire to prove each and every one of them wrong. I refuse to give up; I just work harder. Softball has changed my life and I hope it continues to do so. My desire is to continue playing at the collegiate level because I know it will continue to be a part of helping me become the best version of myself.
