My name is Allie.
I will be starting my senior year at Charles City High School. I'm a multi-sport athlete. I have played almost every sport through High School. As a Sophmore I had to make some decisions on what was most important to me. I started playing T-Ball at the age of 4 as I grew older my love for the sport grew more intense. My 8th grade year of softball was a hard one for me. I didn't make the Varsity Team. Some of my friends and team moved up to suit Varsity I felted discouraged. So during the off-season I looked into other opportunities to make myself better and a stronger player. I joined an amazing travel team and worked with a batting coach. My Freshman year I came back stronger and a much better player. I started 21 Varsity games and lettered as a Freshman huge accomplishment . It just proved to me that you get back what you put in. I feel like I can adapt to any situation, one example would be we recently added girls high school wrestling to our school district. My Sophmore year this was something new that I really wanted to try, make history, represent my school, and learn a completely new sport that I had never done or even had a interest in. It took a lot to dedication and drive to commite to something so new. I walked out of the Girls State Wrestling Tournament with a 4th place finish, and as a team we finished 3rd in the state of Iowa. Pretty cool. I feel that I would be a great addition to any team that is willing to trust in me and take a chance. I work hard and have never given up on the things I love the most. We have just wrapped up our 5th straight trip to the State Softball tournament. We went in with high expectations, Unfortunately it didn't go as we planned we lost our 1st game 11-0 hard one to swallow but it makes you stronger and more focused. It also brings to light the things that still need work. That is what life is all about. I really hope this helps you see my character and prove to you how hard I will work.
