My name is Ruthie Neff, I just finished my Freshman year in College with a 3.62 GPA and played softball. I had a great year. I made the Dean's list, I received All Academic Athletic Award and All-Region First Team. Ended my season with a 3.98 ERA and .473 batting average. Prior to College I will attended Assumption High School in Davenport, Iowa and Scott Community College. I was inducted in the National Honor Society my Junior year and ended my high school career with a 3.79 cumulative GPA. I've taken the ACT and scored a 27. I had been a varsity pitcher since eighth grade for the Assumption girls' softball team. I'm also currently playing on the Lady Hitmen, with Dan Fisher as my coach. Although I've been playing softball competitively from the age of six, I'm constantly striving to be a better athlete. In the off season, I work hard to maintain a steady pitching schedule. I pitch at least 3 times a week; twice at private lessons and at least once at practice. I also go to my hitting coach, Jerry Cross, almost every week. Although competing and winning is very important to me, I always try to keep a positive attitude, no matter the situation. I always try to keep my teammates positive as well, as a positive team makes for a better game. I will attend college and would love to play softball at the highest possible level.
