I grew up on a farm in Iowa, and because of this, the concept of hard work has always been instilled in me. I would be a good candidate for your team because I would come to every practice ready to perform to my best ability. During school, I have been active in all sorts of activities. My athletic activities have included volleyball, basketball, track, and softball. I have always enjoyed being a part of team. I have been very fortunate to be successful in athletics. I have lettered in basketball my sophomore and junior year, lettered in track my freshman and sophomore year, and lettered in softball my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. I also was catcher for the 2A state championship team my sophomore year. I was named honorable mention all conference for softball and basketball as well. Though athletics play a big role in my life, I am involved in other things. I am active on the student council and a member of the National Honor Society. For the past two years, I have mentored an elementary student with Asperger's syndrome, and I take pride in the progress he has made over the years. I am ranked third in my class, and take my academics very seriously. I have really enjoyed being active in high school, and I can't wait to be just as active in college!
