My name is Gracie Knobloch. I am entering my junior year at Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn High School. I have been a starter on our varsity softball team since my 8th grade year. I was one of two pitchers for our varsity team and when not pitching I primarily played 3rd base along with playing a little center field. My freshman year I was one of two pitchers and played short stop. I ended my 2022 varsity season with a batting average of .548 and OBP of .663. My junior year I was our primary pitcher and played short stop when not pitching. I ended my 2023 varsity season with a batting average of .478 and OBP of .607; I pitched 119 innings and had 175 strike outs while only allowing 42 walks. My favorite positions to play are shortstop and pitcher, but in all reality I can play anywhere needed including catcher. I also play softball as my schedule permits on the Sioux City Futures travel team and play have played in a local fall softball league located in Storm Lake, IA.
I also run cross country for my high school in the fall, play basketball in the winter, golf in the spring, and am lifting weights 2-3 days a week. I'm a hard working coachable athlete that also excels in the classroom. I'm hoping all my hard work pays off over the next few years and I get an opportunity to play softball at the next level.
