Lizzie Koonce '23 Recruiting Profile

One of my favorite parts of the game is the challenge of being introduced to something new, like learning a new pitch, and working diligently to perfect it. I also enjoy being part of a team and bonding with my teammates. I consider myself a hard-working individual and I don’t settle for less than my very best on the field and in the classroom. My competive nature allows me to perform well under pressure.  I would like to attend a college where I can follow my passion and make a difference on the diamond while earning a degree in the health field.

A highlight of my career was last summer (2020) as a Freshman, earning the opportunity to pitch full game wins in the Regional tournament, where we then earned a trip to the Iowa HS State Tournament for only the second time in LeMars High School history. It was a dream come true for my teammates and I to play there!
