My name is Ashlynn Ellenbecker, class of 2021, and I attend South Tama County High School in Iowa. I'm a 4 sport athlete in softball, soccer volleyball and participating in basketball my senior year . Also involved in many school clubs and activities such as Student Council, National Honors Society, Prom Committee, Dance Team, Gamers Squad, Plays/Speech, Spring League Softball, Blue Crew, Yearbook, Gail's Academy of Dance and St. Pats Youth Group. Also, I play on a USSSA team , Iowa Elite Fastpitch and I enjoy every minute of it. My collegiate goals is to play softball and achieve a degree in one of 3 majors: Forensic Psychiatry, Toxicology and/or Pathology with a thought of joining the Behavior Analysis side of the FBI down the road after starting the work force of the major I proceed with. With also being in college I want to be on the Dean's list and graduate top in the top 15 of my class.
What makes a good candidate for a team is that I'm a really hard worker and I have great leadership. I never give up till I have hit the goal, I'm always trying to perfect my skills, and I'm very coachable, always ready to take on more what' thrown at me. You will never see me have a negative attitude on or off the field and I'm always cheering, you will always hear me in the dugout and talking from the mound and/or on my other positions played. I'm always willing to help someone when there struggling with a skill or even being a better person themselves. I love helping people when there down and always letting them see the best side of something. In athletics, you will never see me just give up on a drill or skill even when it's not going hot. And that goes the same way in the classroom as well. In everything I don't give up in and I want others to see that, I always want them to know that life is much smoother when you don't give up.
What makes me different is that you will never find a more passionate, hardworking, positive girl working her hardest. I show great character, I've earn many awards and certificates for my academics at my school, as well as athletics. You will always see me with a smile, but it doesn't take much for someone to make me smile. I'm energetic and sometimes I just laugh and laugh even at the smallest thinks that isn't even that funny, plus I'm not very humorous, unless I do something unintentional, then everyone starts to laugh.
Playing at the collegiate level has been a dream and goal since the 6th grade, and now becoming a senior, it hasn't been more of goal then I have ever had, I put it a lot of sweat, time and tears to achieve this goal and I want to be successful both on the field and in the classroom through college and beyond.
