Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Addison DeChant. I live in a small community in NE Kansas. I have played softball since tee-ball and competitive travel softball since 2019. One of my top goals is to continue my softball career in college. I am a RHP and utility player (3B, 1B, SS, OF). I was a starting pitcher my freshman year of high school and was ranked 29th in strikeouts out of 182 pitchers in the state of Kansas. As a sophomore, my high school team got 1st place in Kansas 2-1A regionals and 3rd place in Kansas 2-1A state tournament in 2024. I currently play for Midwest Power Legacy 16A out of Topeka, KS year-round when not playing high school softball. I look forward to continuing my education and softball career in college.
