My name is Claire Koettker and I am a sophomore at Blue Valley Northwest. I am involved in drafting and wood classes in school. I have a weighted grade point average of 3.9 and am enrolled in two honors class this year. Next year I am enrolled in two honors classes as well as an AP class. I am apart of SAFE. This is a club that is sponsored by our schools SRO officers, and we get students to realize the importance of seatbelts and distracted driving. I am also applying to get into NHS.
I have been playing softball since 1st grade and have been on 3 different rec/club teams. My freshman year I was placed on C team and was moved up to JV at the end of the season. This year I was placed on JV and was moved up to varsity. I am currently playing shortstop, but am working on 2nd base and outfield skills. On varsity I DH and pinch run.
I want to go to college for a degree in my area of interest, and softball would be a wonderful bonus. I love being apart of a team and playing the game of softball. My career choice would be to do something in the field of Wood Technologies and build furniture or other wood products.
