Hello! My name is Halee McVay. I am currently a rising Senior at St. Henry District High School in Erlanger, Kentucky. I work hard to keep my academics high and am continually working on trying to better myself and my skills and abilities in school and sports. I have played for the St. Henry Crusaders softball team since 6th grade. I am in the top portion of the team for batting statistics and have been as high as 2nd/3rd highest batting averages which also include out of the park home runs. For school softball I play 3rd most of the time, but with opportunities due to many factors, I have also played at shortstop, 2nd, 1st and pitched. For summer travel softball, I play for the Northern Kentucky Bandits (3rd year) and have played for NKY Xplosion. Occasionally I have been asked to fill in for visiting teams that are short players and have enjoyed that opportunity. For travel ball I play 3rd and 1st most of the time, however I play anywhere in the infield as needed. During the past couple of summers I also played for the Bellevue Tigers team where I played infield and pitched. I can play outfield but I prefer infield as I like to lead and be more involved in the game.
In addition to softball, I also shoot archery for St. Henry and was part of the state and national teams this past season. I belong to the Drug Free Club of America and the National Society of High School Scholars.
My goal is to attend college and obtain a degree in the medical field. I haven't confirmed which field for sure, but am thinking about Athletic Training, Physical Therapy or most likely Nursing. I hope to achieve a scholarship for softball to continue playing collegiate level while I obtain my degree.
