My goal for college is to make me a more complete person all the way around. I am very interested in business as my major and for my future endeavors. I love meeting new people and networking. I would like to use my college experience to further enhance my leadership skills. I have always been a leader on my teams and have been told that it comes naturally to me. I joined my current team this year and my coach has said that I am the glue for this team. I would use my leadership skills to help build team togetherness and unity. I am extremely driven in my personal life as well as on the field. I would use that drive for the betterment of the team and to help keep the team winning.
I believe what makes me different from others is my ability to bring out the best in those around me. I enjoy competitive and fun atmospheres. My teammates and I spend a lot of time together. We build trust and truly become friends. I feel that teams with great atmosphere will perform better. On the field, I am a left handed hitter and fielder. My coach says that I am "crazy aggressive". I understand the game and put my body on the line to make plays. Just two weeks ago in the championship game of our Nationals tournament in the bottom of the 7th, I dove head first and caught a ball in a full sprint that took away what would have been the game winning run. That is how I play. On the offensive side of the ball, I have always been one of the fastest, if not the fastest, player on my team. I am a high batting average, line drive hitter. I lay down bunts when the fielders play back. I survey the field to see what the fielders are giving me. In travel ball I have always been either the leading hitter on my teams or in the top two. I have always played on successful teams with some of my teammates already committed to colleges and others being recruited currently. I have been raised in a family that teaches respect for everyone. I have 6 siblings. 1 biological sister, 1 sister that we are in the process of adopting from foster care, 2 biological brothers and two brothers that we have adopted from Ethiopia. I believe this has given me some unique abilities to learn to thrive with people from different backgrounds even though they may not look like me. Academically, I have enjoyed school. I look forward to being able to focus more on the areas of learning that really align with want to do in the future. Choosing me will bring a low maintenance, high energy, team building individual to your team that performs all around at a high level.
