I believe that my greatest accomplishment is my ability to play softball. This is because I have put in countless hours of practice to become the best that I can be. I have been playing softball since I was 8, and it has always been something that I strive to become better and better at, especially in pitching. The most difficult situation I have ever had to face was telling my dad that I wanted to play for a very competitive softball team. Up until I was 16, I had always played on a local team that had dads coaching and players that weren't always motivated to be the best. I decided that it was time to try out for a team that was at the next level. This would mean that my dad would no longer be my team's coach, and this was hard for both him and me to accept. However, I convinced him that it was the right decision to try out for an elite team, so I started trying out for various teams including the River Rats, Flame, and Maine Thunder. Going to these tryouts was difficult in itself because it was rather stressful and daunting. I made the team for Maine Thunder and have been playing for them since. I do not regret my decision, despite the fact that making the change made for a difficult situation. I want to attend a Catholic college, take a variety of classes, and play softball. I do not know what I want to major in yet, so I am hoping I will determine that once I start taking courses in college.
