Being a student-athlete is something I am proud of and has shaped me into the teammate and student I am today. Throughout my years of travel ball, I have gained the confidence and experience necessary to be a leader on my team. My optimistic, positive attitude during games helps keep everyone focused and brings up the team energy. I have an unrelenting passion and dedication to this sport and to my teammates, and I believe that my work ethic and leadership skills will allow me to make an impact on your team.
I work as hard as I do on the field as I do off the field: from pitching practice, to batting drills in my basement, to working hard in every one of my classes. After my freshman and sophomore years pitching for my varsity high school team I decided that my team needed extra practice in order to become stronger. I took the initiative to create a softball club at my school to get the team together before the season and get more people involved in the Whitman softball community. I am the type of player to go above and beyond in order to help my teammates out and that is something I intend to continue at the colliegate level.
