Hello, my name is Reganne Engstler. I live in Bethesda, Maryland. Growing up in Bethesda, playing softball was quite challenging. Softball is not a popular sport in the area. The lack of popularity led me to be on a different team almost every year. As my teams fell apart every year, my dream for playing in college fell apart too. However, I didn't let the lack of softball interest in my area hold me back. I attend a small private school a few miles outside of D.C. Because of the size, our athletics program is not very competitive. Though, when an experienced athlete competes on a team in the PVAC conference, they sure do stand out. During my freshman year, I was one of the first softball players from my school to make an all-conference selection. I am a humble person, and I hate to boast about my achievements. I am very much interested in my academics as my athletics. I want to make sure I find a university that fits my academic needs, as well as my athletic wants. I plan on majoring in Pre-Health; however, I don't have a plan nailed down yet. I will be the first in my family to play a sport at the collegiate level.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me,
Reganne
