My name is Haven LeClerc. I just transferred schools from Holy Name Central Catholic Private High School in Worcester Ma after 3 years to Clinton High School as a Junior. At the time despite only being 14 years old when entering high school I played varsity softball as an 8th grader. Currently, I play on a 18U junior Olympic team, 2016 we made it to the USSSA World Series in Florida and came 13th out of 50 teams. In school I challenge myself, I try to reach a bigger goal than my primary one. Even though I struggle sometimes I never give up. I strive harder to push myself at school and as well as on the field. I'm on the field 6-7 days a week whether with one of my teams or with my father to work on strength and perfecting my game. My primary position is third base and my second position is second base, but overall i'm a well rounded player you put me anywhere on the field fundamentally and mentally I will get the job done. My collegiate goals is to play D1 some day or to find the best opportunity for me academically and athletically, majoring in Computer Information Science , Criminal Justice and being apart of a very competitive team. I love playing softball, I have been playing it since I was 5 years old and since then I have always wanted to be the best. I push myself to be a great player and person I can be. I challenge myself every day in school trying to keep my grades to a higher standard. I'm a very hardworking student in the classroom, i'm always staying after for extra credit to get a higher grade, even though I have average low A’s. My GPA has averaged around a 3.5-4.0, and i'm looking to better that further into my high school career. Softball is my passion; it is a place where I can be myself and there is no pressure to change who I am. Softball has let me express my true self, the fun, outgoing, and entertaining player and person I am. I'm a team leader on and off the field. I won't let anything deter me from reaching my dreams. I am always cheering my team on whether we are winning or losing or after a mistake because as a team we win together and lose together. I promise you that I will work 150% every practice. I'm looking to achieve a 400 batting average and 2-3 home runs a year with a minimal 20 RBI’s. I am a quick learner and I will always find a way to get better at my own position as well as all the other positions I can play. I'm always a step ahead mentally on the field, thinking where i'm going with the ball before the next pitch is thrown. But foremost my academics are my first priority with softball being a very close second.
