Catherine Grimaldi '27 Recruiting Profile

As a softball player, I like to think that my calm demeanor provides my team with a steady presence on the field and in the dugout, and I'm always ready to offer teammates support and encouragement. Offensively, I hit with a balance of power and average, and really enjoy hitting in the middle of the batting order where I feel I'm most effective. In the field, my reliable glove, above average range, strong arm and ability to quickly read the ball off the bat allow me to excel in any OF spot, although most of my playing time has been spent in Center. In college, I'm hoping to find a close-knit team that feels like family, with coaches who will challenge me to bring my best every day.

As a student, I have consistently made the honor roll throughout middle school and high school. I'm looking for a college with a strong business or liberal arts program where I can take a broad range of classes to really help me identify the career path that is the best fit for me. Right now, I'm still undecided on what my major might be.

As a person, I rely heavily on my Catholic faith and my family to guide me in all of my decision-making. I strive to have the compassion and understanding that Jesus expects of me and also the strength, integrity, and determination that my parents raised me with.
