Hailey Bila '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Hailey Bila, I am a 5’6”, 135 lb., outfielder with a home to first speed of 2.66 seconds.  I am a true triple threat, both slapping and power hitting from the left. Currently, I’m playing center field and batting lead-off for my varsity team as a freshman.  When it comes to travel ball, I play for Turnin 2’s 14U Kanakry as an outfielder and/or first baseman. Turnin 2 is very competitive with a strong regional/national schedule.  My long term goals are to study kinesiology/physical therapy while playing softball at a high level. I work hard both academically and athletically to reach my goals, while realizing that softball will only last 4 years, but my education will last me a lifetime.  The challenges and diversity of playing multiple sports have not only taught me to deal with winning and losing, but also how to deal with life’s ever changing demands. My determination, work ethic, drive, and leadership skills both on and off the field inspire others to strive to reach their goals.  I coach a youth volleyball team, am a class representative for student council, and an alter server at my church. Having a strong faith in God helps to keep me grounded.
