Avery Hawkins '21 Recruiting Profile

    I have a great focus on my academics, and that focus comes before my athletic focus.  I have a 3.937 GPA and am currently ranked 5th in my class of 114 students.  I hope to go to a school that allows me to excel in my academics, and that ensures I get the schooling needed for a successful career and life.  I have a strong academic base that allows me to balance an athletic setting in my college years.  My strong softball skills are backed by my strong academics.  I can handle not only the tough college level education, but also the demands of softball. 

Playing college softball is a goal that at first seemed out of reach for me.  However, my skills have improved immensely, and I strive daily to be a better player.  I am extremely coachable, a good listener and I am willing to try new things in order to expand my skills.  Playing college softball on top of going to college to get an education would be a dream come true.
