My name is Kate Westmiller and I am a softball player looking to play at the next level. I am a hardworking 2022 High School student who intends to continue my academic and athletic career in college. I have always been a fierce competitor who leaves everything I have on the field. Playing all out hard in softball caused me to sustain a couple injuries early in my travel ball career. Having to be benched for an extended period of time only reiterated how much softball meant to me and how much I love this sport. Softball has taught me a tremendous amount about myself, hard work, dedication, discipline, sacrifice, time management, and commitment.
Coming from a military family, I have learned how important it is to put team above self. I have also learned to be open minded, flexible, and what it takes to be both a good leader as well as teammate. I envision my collegiate time to be filled with tremendous personal growth. My ultimate goal is to receive my bachelor's degree and become an employable adult, who can take lessons learned from both academics and athletics and apply them on and off the field. I intend to be an asset to a team in whatever capacity they may need. My ability to be a great teammate along with a high softball IQ, sound defensive and offensive skills and a positive attitude will hopefully benefit any team. As I continue to grow both physically and mentally I intend to help a team.
